1.6: Complications

In the morning, Yensid spends some time with his newborn baby.

It’s off to work soon after, though. With Ella still on maternity leave, someone needs to bring in the money.

Ella spends some time by herself, studying cooking.

Then it’s time to care for Happy.

Ella: Good morning, nooboo. Ready for breakfast?

Ella: Mamma’s ready for her breakfast too!

Ella: What a blessing my baby is.

The rest of her day is spent playing guitar.

Yensid’s been rising in the ranks of the military career!

Ella: Welcome home, my darling! I’m so proud of the progress you’ve been making. Care to follow me to bed for a congratulations?

Yensid: Of course, my love. Lead the way.

Poor Ella is up early, and receives an unexpected visit.

Ella: What’s…going on?

Ella: What’s happening? Where am I going?

Ella: Someone help! Yensid?!!

After a while, Ella is delivered back mostly unharmed.

Ella: What happened? Who is that strange, green man?

Alien: What a shame, I captured a female. Next time, I shall find a male specimen to carry our genetics.

Not yet, you won’t. I would like an alien baby in this legacy, but hopefully not until the baby restriction is lifted.

Ella: I can’t go back home yet, Yensid would be furious with me…he can’t find out about my dalliance with an alien…

Sid hasn’t noticed anything is out of order. He’s busy working on his handiness skill before work.

While he’s gone, Ella decides to help out with his garden.

Ella: Maybe he’ll forgive me if I do nice things for him!

Little did Ella know, Sid had something else on his mind.

Jessica: Yensid! What brings you here?

Yensid: Lady knight! It’s so good to see you. I haven’t been able to get you off my mind…

Jessica: Please, come inside. We have a lot to talk about.

Jessica: You know my roommate, Nicholas? There’s something I need to tell you about him.

Yensid: There’s no need, milady. Right now, let’s just focus on the two of us.

Back home, Sid was missing out on Happy growing up.

Ella: Don’t worry, Happy. I’m sure your father will be home soon. He must have just stayed late at work.

Ella: It sure is getting late, though…

Happy grew into an adorable toddler! He has his father’s blue eyes and a mix of his parents’ skin tones. He has black hair, maybe a throwback to Lonnie?

Unfortunately for him, his father wasn’t there to see his growth.

Yensid: Do you ever picture us together, Jessica?

Jessica: Of course I did, Yensid. Until you threw it all away.

Yensid: Perhaps that was a mistake.

Nicholas: Don’t mind me, I’ll just be monitoring the direction of this conversation.

Yensid: Please, come outside with me. I’d like some privacy.

Jessica: This is nice, isn’t it?

Yensid: Yes…very nice.

And with that, Yensid’s wish to watch the stars with Jessica was fulfilled. It would seem he hasn’t given up yet on his wishy-washy ways.

To make matters worse, he ruined the relationship between Jessica and Nicholas. That’s right, they were dating. Cassidy, who previously had a baby with Nicholas, took the opportunity to try stealing her man back.

Cassidy: I love you, Nicky. I love the daughter we made together. I think we should give us another chance.

Nicholas: I don’t think so, Cass. Jessica did hurt me, but I’m not leaving her over one mistake. She’ll get over this Yensid guy once she realizes he’s not leaving his wife for her.

Cassidy: Just you wait, my love. You will be mine.

Back home, Happy seems rather sad.

Ella: Don’t you worry, baby. I know daddy will be back home soon. He loves us. He’d never do anything to hurt us.

Ella waited for Yensid for quite some time, but she eventually gave up and went to bed.

Late into the night, Sid returned home.

Yensid: My little lad has grown! I am sorry that I missed it Happy. I promise it shall not happen again.

Laying down next to his wife, Yensid knew he’d have some explaining to do come morning.

1.5: Oh, Happy Day

We start the day with chores, as always.

Afterwards, Ella interrupts Yensid’s cleanup time.

Yensid: Woman! A man needs his private time!

Ella: Sorry, my love. My stomach was upset and I just couldn’t hold it back…

Yensid: I do love that woman, but that was absolutely revolting.

Ella: I do hope you’ll forgive my earlier conduct, Sid. I don’t know what came over me.

Yensid: It’s alright, my dear. Eat this fish I caught for you, perhaps it’ll make you feel better.

That night, Ella finds out the reason she’s been feeling weird.

Ella: I think I’m having a baby!

Ella: I’m glad you’re awake, Sid. I have exciting news! We’re going to have a baby!

Yensid: That’s wonderful news, my dear! A baby made from our love…I cannot wait to meet him.

Ella: We may have a girl.

Yensid: I just have a feeling, princess.

The couple spent a lot of time reading the next day, between Sid’s book for work, Ella’s cooking skill books, and the pregnancy book.

There was also a bit of hands-on skilling as well.

And of course, Yensid continued to rise up the ranks in the military.

Ella: I’m so proud of the progress you’ve made, Sid. Shall we celebrate?

Yensid: I’d like nothing more, my love.

Yensid: I was wondering, my dear…would you like to accompany me to the park? I hear there’s a festival going on.

Ella: A date?! I’d love to!

While at the festival, our founding couple took part in an apple bobbing contest.

Ella: Please go easy on me, Sid. I don’t know how well I’ll be able to do with my pregnant belly in the way.

Yensid: A knight never goes easy on his foes, even when that foe is also his love!

The winner is Ella!

Ella: That was fun, wouldn’t you say?

Yensid: Must…catch breath…

Afterwards, the couple heads to the haunted house.

Ella: Oh, bother…I think those actors scared me so much that my stomach is starting to hurt…

Yensid: I don’t think it’s stomach pain, my love…I think the baby is coming!

Woman: Baby?! I’m definitely not qualified to handle this!

Ella: Oh no…I can’t scar all these people by having my baby right now!

Ella: Just stay in there, little baby. Once we’re back home, you can come out!

Ella: I sure hope this is quick. This is tiring…

Yensid: My love! I’m glad you made it home. What can I do to help?

Ella: You can remove our “no technology” rule, for one thing.

Yensid: You know I don’t understand you when you speak of such things.

After a long labor, a baby boy was finally born!

Ella: I think we should name him Happy, after the happiness he’s brought us. What do you think, dear?

Yensid: You may name him whatever you like, milady, so long as we can put him to bed soon.

Baby Happy was named after the cheerful dwarf from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Our Happy was born good and friendly, already shaping up to take after his namesake! His favorite color is red, like Ella’s.

I never expanded the house when Ella moved in, so I used Happy’s birth to add a room for both him and his mother.

After putting their newborn son to bed, Ella and Yensid settle into bed in their new bedroom.

1.4: Marriage

When last we left off, Yensid and Ella were out breaking up with their previous significant others. While he was out, I sent Sid over to Granny Shue’s house to steal produce from her garden.

Yensid: Now that I must provide not only for myself, I must increase my food stock posthaste!

Yensid: Drat…I’ve been spotted…

Granny: Is that a spry young boy I see picking through my garden?

Granny: Hello, handsome. Wanna come inside?

Yensid: You did provide my family with some much needed nourishment, so I suppose I could come inside for a moment.

Yensid: Tell me, milady. How is it your garden is always bursting with life?

Granny: Child labor.

Yensid: Of course! Why had I not thought of this?

Granny: I’m a Pisces, by the way. In case you were wondering.

Casanova here rolled the wish to find out her sign. Time to get out of here and finish picking through the garden before he gets anymore ideas…

Yensid: Until we meet again, strangely attractive old woman.

What has Ella been up to this whole time? Her first stop was the bookstore, to pick up cooking skill books and pregnancy books.

Ella: Why am I getting the feeling I should go check on my new fiancé?

She has one more stop before she and Sid can meet back up. Dear Ella wished for an elixir, so we stopped by the store. I picked out the skill booster. Not sure if we’re allowed to use elixirs this generation, so we’ll just save it for later down the line.

Finally, both members of the founding generation are back home.

Yensid: My dearest princess, I’m sorry to have left you. I hope you can forgive me when you see what I was up to, however.

Ella: Oh, Sid! You got me a present?

Ella: Oh, a tomato! Yummy!

Yensid: My love…I know it isn’t the ideal meal. You don’t have to pretend for me.

Ella: Sid, anything that comes from you is wonderful. It’s been ages since someone brought me food instead of the other way around.

Yensid: No longer shall you suffer, my dear. From this day forward, I shall take care of you. Now please, I’ve set aside an area in the backyard. Will you do me the honor of marrying me, my love?

Ella: I’d love nothing more.

I hope it’s alright that I used the arch. Ella and Sid had the glitch where the “have private wedding” option never came up, and I didn’t think Sid would be the type to sleep in the same bed with a woman without marrying her first.

Here’s newly made-over Ella Wedway! She’s brave, neat, a natural cook, a virtuoso, and has a good sense of humor. She wants to be a celebrated five-star chef! Her favorite color is red, so we’ll have a brighter color around to contrast all Yensid’s grey.

They’re both exhausted, so it’s straight to bed after the wedding.

Ella: I’d almost forgotten what happened yesterday…it all feels like a dream.

Yensid’s off to fish in the morning.

Then he tends his garden. Once the first baby is old enough, they’ll take over a lot of the food procurement. For now though, it’s still mostly Sid’s job.

Ella starts reading her cookbook.

Ella: Ooh, this looks like a fun technique! Too bad we don’t have a fridge to store all the ingredients it takes…

I’m sure she’ll get used to her simpler life soon enough.

Ella: Sid, dear? Can’t we get some technology in the house? How can you expect me to cook you amazing meals in these conditions?

Yensid: I thought I told you to stop speaking nonsense, woman!

Being a virtuoso, Ella always rolls wants to play guitar. I figured there wouldn’t be much harm in letting her learn the guitar skill on the side. She can even pass her instrument down to her child someday, since art and music is the focus next generation.

Yensid: You do not regret giving up your old life for this, do you my love? I know it must be quite the change.

Ella: Of course not, Sid. I love you. It’s just taking some getting used to, is all.

Yensid: To be honest, I’m not completely used to the lifestyle yet myself. These confounded fish never quite suit my fancy…

Ella: I don’t know, this part isn’t so bad…

After dinner, the two spend some private moments together as husband and wife.

Baby Wedway is on the way.

1.3: Finally, A Decision

Yensid’s day starts off slowly, attempting to protect his garden from the spawning zombies.

He’s then sent off to stalk meet up with Ella in a premeditated manner. But first, he must stop and smell the flowers.

Yensid: What a lovely creature, this butterfly. How simple life must be, just flapping away in the wind.

At last, we have an Ella sighting. Time to work our way up to a flirt.

Ella: Oh, hey. It’s that funny guy from a few days ago! Remember, your face went like this when I talked about answering my phone!

Yensid: I know not this “phone” of which you speak. However, I do believe my face was more like this!

Yensid: Milady, I’ve awaited the moment I would see you again! I’ve toiled my days away at a place called “work,” until this chance finally arose.

Ella: That’s really sweet and adorable. I think I’ve heard something like that from a song on the radio!

Yensid: A ray deo? Woman, stop spouting nonsense.

Ella: You’re really weird. But I kinda like that. I much prefer weird to mean, like my sister Eunice…

Yensid: Just you wait, milady. One day, you’ll have the power to spread your wings and fly away from that horrid place. You shall become as free as a butterfly.

Ella: Oh, Yensid…I only hope you’re right.

Ella: I have to go now. If I’m any later, I won’t have dinner on the table in time. Can’t let them see any traces that I was with a boy…

Yensid: Why must you always leave, fair Ella?

I mean, she is Cinderella. It almost makes sense that she always runs off when things are getting good.

Yensid: Dearest Ella…I do hope I shall see you again soon.

He now has the wish to kiss Ella, so we’ll certainly be seeing her again to fulfill that.

In the morning, we take care of the garden again before starting the day.

Then it’s off to court Ella again.

Ella: Yensid! What are you doing here? How do you know where I live?

Yensid: Tis of no importance, milady. May I enter your humble abode?

Yensid: Your home is beautiful, my dear.

Ella: Yeah, cause I clean everything. If it were up to my step-mom and sisters, it would be a lot dirtier.

Ella is just precious. But Jessica is very pretty too. I’m still leaning toward Ella because of the Disney aspect, but we’ll just have to see where this goes.

Yensid: I think the stars have finally aligned for our love, Ella!

Ella: It’s just like from one of my romance books!

Yensid: I think I’m finally starting to win in this game called love, my dear.

Ella: This is all so romantic, Sid…but all so sudden, too.

Yensid: Love is always sudden, milady.

Yensid: Please forgive my indiscretion, but I simply can’t hold myself back any longer.

Ella: What do you mean, Sid?

With a wish panel filled with Ella, and nothing for Jessica since their kiss, I think Yensid has made his choice. Sorry to Jessica fans! Considering that they’re coworkers though, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of her quite yet.

Yensid: You have bewitched me, body and soul, dearest Ella. I have fallen for you, my princess.

Ella: Oh, Sid…quoting my favorite character? That’s so romantic!

Yensid: I know not which you speak, but I’m happy it pleases you my love.

Yensid: I cannot wait a moment longer. Marry me, my dear, and we shall escape this horrid existence together!

Ella: Ohmigosh…

Ella: Of course I will!

Yensid: I think we should wait to marry, my love. I’d like to set up a spot to wed at my castle. But still, you must come live with me. I won’t allow you to suffer this abuse any longer.

Ella: Of course, Sid. I’d be happy to come back home with you.

Welcome Ella to the family! I’ll give her a makeover once the couple has officially married.

Ella! You sly thing! Time to send both of them stalking their previous lovers and ask to be just friends with them.

Sebastian: Ella! Long time, no see. Where have you been? I thought we were supposed to go out again soon.

Ella: About that…I’ve actually met someone. Sorry, I can’t go out with you anymore. I’m getting married.

Sebastian: How dare you?! Don’t you know I’m supposed to be your Prince Charming?!

Ella: Umm…sorry?

Jessica: So you’ve finally decided to show your face back here, big boy. Have you decided to man up, or am I too woman for you?

Yensid: The latter, I’m afraid. I’ll always cherish our time together, lady knight. However, I’ve found my true princess.

Cassidy: This is my shocked face.

Pierce: Just smile and walk, pup. Just smile and walk.

Jessica: I can’t believe you! You were supposed to be my boy toy!

Yensid: Please don’t harm me…

Lonnie: So, you’re the guy my step-daughter’s running away with. You’ve caused quite a scene over that dumb girl.

Yensid: I am choosing to ignore your hostility, so perhaps you’ll go away.

Louis: Finally decided to visit this old timer again, Bella? I’ve been waiting for that sweet body.

Ella: First off, it’s Ella. And second, we’re through. Your creepy hands won’t be touching me ever again.

Louis: How dare you call me creepy?!

Ella: That’s the part you’re angry about?

Ella: I can’t believe I ever sunk low enough to be intimate with this weird old man…

Louis: That’s weird old handsome man to you, missy!

With all that out of the way, I sent Ella off to take a cooking class.

Jessica: Man stealing hussy.

Ella: Eep!

Next time: a private wedding? A baby? Making progress toward our generation goals?

1.2: The Heart Strays

First thing in the morning, Yensid starts planting some of the seeds we picked up yesterday. Maybe he can have some fruits and veggies instead of exclusively eating fish.

Then, it’s off to his first day of work!

The Hidden Springs military base is rather cute!

After work, it’s straight to the fire pit and then bed. The starting out bits of legacies aren’t always the most interesting, sorry.

While bathing the next morning, however, Yensid has a revelation.

Yensid: I can’t stop thinking about the woman I met the past day…I think I’d like to engage with her…

Yensid: Ah, but my mind still strays to the maiden, Ella. How fickle, this thing called love.

Now’s not the time to think of such things, though. We do need to get working on Yensid’s athletic skill.

Yensid: Confounded contraption…why must I pull up my body weight like this?

Yensid: My body can’t ignore this strange hunger for much longer…

Yensid is getting better at cooking his fish meals. Although his initial stock is starting to run out, so we’ll have to send him fishing again soon.

After work one day, I sent Yensid on a mission. Time to meet this coworker of his and get his flirt wish out of the way. Darn “no wish left behind” challenge.

Yensid: My heart soars at the prospect of seeing the lady knight!

Yensid: Greetings, lady knight! Please don’t mind that I’ve followed you to your abode.

Jessica: Oh, you’re the new guy. Come on in, I’d love to get to know you better.

Yensid: Tis a lovely home you have, miss. Would be a shame if you must one day abandon it to live with me in my castle.

Jessica: Whatever keeps you talking, pretty boy.

Yensid: I must admit, I am on a mission to find myself a princess. You are certainly no damsel, and yet I find that my heart still beats for you.

Jessica: Oh, aren’t you a poet.

Cassidy: Really, Jess? Another random dude?

Cassidy: Hey, rando. Just to let you know, I’ll personally kick your ass if you hurt Jess. Welcome to our home 😀

Jessica: Get out of here, Cass. I’m having a moment.

Jessica: I appreciate you coming over, Sid. I have to say, I’ve been eyeing you ever since you applied for the job.

Yensid: And I you, milady.

Jessica: You don’t have to be so shy. I know what you want.

Yensid: You…do?

Jessica: Do it, big boy.

Yensid: I…

Yensid: ….okay.

Yeah…he rolled the wish to kiss her the moment they flirted. He also still has the wish to flirt with Ella though. Poor, conflicted boy. I checked the wiki, and Jessica could work for Sid’s spouse. She wants to have an aquarium, and fishing is one of the accepted careers this generation. We’ll try to get that flirting wish for Ella fulfilled soon, and see where his wishes go from there.

Yensid: What have I done?! I’ve allowed my heart to stray, and I was pulled into the arms of a cruel seductress!

Jessica: Well I, for one, enjoyed that quite a bit. What are you gonna do about it?

Yensid: Take THIS, you foul beast!

I let the two hang out for a bit more, but nothing else romantic happened and he rolled no other wishes.

Yensid: Two beautiful women within my grasp…one a lovely damsel, in need of my help. One a valiant lady knight. What am I to do about this?

Next time, we’ll give it another shot with Ella. Which way will Sid’s heart pull him?

1.1: The Journey Begins

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Wedway Epic Legacy! For information about rules and the naming theme, check out the About page!

Meet our handsome founder, Yensid Wedway! Say hello, Yensid.

Yensid: I’d prefer if you would not invade my space like this, woman!

Quite the charmer, I’m sure. Yensid is a neurotic, brave, hot-head who’s rather handy and dreams of true love. He would someday like to become an astronaut.

I apologize if his color scheme is too garish. Yensid was originally created as a rainbow legacy founder, hence the grey clothes.

Yensid: Is this finally my ticket to finding my princess? A knight such as myself needs a princess to protect, you know.

First thing’s first: we have to show off your house.

Here is Yensid’s humble abode, made mostly of dirt and stone, complete with a pond in the back. I’m going for the generation mini challenge of living without a fridge until a career is topped, so Yensid also has a fire pit to cook his meals.

So far, the inside of Yensid’s house contains only a bed and a pull-up bar. The rules say you can’t gain athletic from a treadmill yet, but I thought since a pull-up bar isn’t electronic that it was fine. I’m happy to change it out for a workout bench if anyone thinks this counts as a rule break though!

Finally, the back of the house. (Please excuse that this picture was taken before I’d finished my crappy landscape job!) I think the rules allow a fenced in toilet and bathtub, to prevent the shoo-ing problem.

Yensid: A toilet?! I’m so pleased! No more urinating in the wilderness for this knight!

Yensid’s first order of business is to ride down to the military base and get himself a job.

Yensid: So this is the means by which I shall achieve my goal…

Afterwards, I sent him searching for my pick for his spouse, Ella Carlisle! Ella is based on Cinderella, so I thought she would be the perfect founding spouse for a Disney legacy!

Yensid: Good afternoon, milady. I must say that I find your appearance stunning.

Ella: Aren’t you charming! And you’re rather easy on the eyes as well.

Yensid: I would love to get to know you better. Please, tell me about yourself.

Ella: Well, I’d like to be a famous chef someday. First I have to get out of my house though. I live there with my step-family, and they’re not exactly supportive.

Yensid: Do my eyes decieve me? This lass is a princess in need of saving!

Yensid: Your wish has been granted, milady! I shall rescue you from your troubled home!

Ella: I mean, that’s nice I guess. But we just met.

Ella: I gotta go, my step-mom is calling me. But maybe we’ll talk later, okay?

Yensid: Calling? To what do you refer? I don’t see anyone speaking your name?

So far, so good?

Unfortunately, we don’t have all day to court Ella. Time to send Yensid off to procure his meal for the night.

With a fishing spot tracked down, Yensid gets to work.

Yensid: I don’t seem to be catching anything…

Yensid: This may not have been my best idea…

Yensid: Ah, a mighty steed! What say you, horse? Will you accompany me back home and become my stallion?

Horse: I don’t think so, weirdo. You can’t even feed yourself, from what it looks like.

Yensid: I’ll show you, horse! I shall procure the biggest fish you’ve ever seen!

Horse: We’ll see about that, buddy.

Yensid: What is this nonsense? This puny fish can’t be enough to sustain my hunger…

Let’s just catch a few more and head home for the night.

With dinner caught, Yensid heads back home and starts up his fire.

Yensid: Ah, this is the life. Nothing like hunting one’s own food and cooking over a roaring fire.

Yensid: Drat! Do not burn, little fish…

Yensid: Bleh….this is not what I expected when I set out to achieve my dream…

Baby steps, Yensid. You’ll get there. It’s only the first night.

Unimpressed and unfulfilled, Yensid puts out his fire and turns in for the night.

Tomorrow’s a new day. Yensid heads to bed before his first day at work. Hopefully he’ll also get another chance to foster his budding love.
